I AM still alive. I've just been working A LOT. It's been 10 hour days, 7 days a week for the last month. Uhg... Tired... Luckily I'm a bit of a workaholic so it's been kinda fun. I've got most of tomorrow off though! Woo-hoo! ^_^ I've been in touch with the fabulous Steve-the-code-genius and we've talked about creating a new automatic archive for the sites. The problem is my having very little spare time to go over specifics. I am trying, but RL loves to mess with my 'puter fun. ::sniff:: Here are a few things we've talked about:
* Members only archives: This would give me a bit of control over who can read the naughty stuff. The LAST thing I need is a pissed off caregiver of a minor child trying to nix my sites.
* Tighter security: So the annoying trolls of fandom can't create multiple profiles and bug the hell out of my authors.
That's as far as we've been able to get. Anyone have any ideas?
I have discovered the music Mecca. I am now totally addicted to iTunes. Tags: sites Current Mood: chipper Current Music: Curve - Alligators Getting Up

Well, I survived our organization's yearly audit. Yay! We passed with flying colors. As if we wouldn't have. It's my job to make sure everything's perfect so, everything was perfect. ^_^
I'm axiously awaiting HP 7 to drop on my doorstep. I've been avoiding all the spoilers and theories because I want to be surprised this time. If he dies, I'm goning to be seriously annoyed. Current Mood: contemplative Current Music: "Smokey Joe by Tori Amos"

Well folks, it has happened. I've been working my ASS off for 6 months for this and I finally got it. I've been given a sort of promotion. I'm working in the same position, but I've been upgraded to a higher level job title (and a higher pay grade). Basically, the Program Director is awarding me for being fantastic. ^_^ The raise is only $1.00 more an hour, but it will make a big difference in my "big debt pay-off" plan. I'll be financially free 6 months sooner. WOO-HOO! ^_^
Sites: I'm going to try something tonight. I'll let you guys know if it works. Current Mood: ecstatic Current Music: Swamp Song - Tool

Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2007 12:23 PM From: MHG - SW Program Director Subject: cps kids staying at the cps offices
I have more detailed info about what is needed and where to send or take these things. I spoke with Gina Caldwell at cps (817.255.8711) who is managing this CVS Crisis. She expects more kids to be in this situation. The 7 kids have been temporarily placed at All Church Home as of last night. More donations are needed.
Cash/check donations need to be made out to Community Partners of Tarrant County, and designated for: CVS Crisis. It is the 501c3 organization for cps that can accept donations. You can mail checks to Gina Caldwell , Child Protective Services 2700 Ben Avenue Fort Worth Texas 76103.
Food gift cards in amounts of $20.00 max are also a great idea and can be mailed to the above address as well.
Personal care kits are needed that include shampoo, comb, brush, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, lotions for the skin. In particular there is a big need for hair and skin care lotion products for black children and teens.
Snack and or food items, single serving are also needed. Things like microwaveable spaghettios’, chili, ravioli, juice boxes, chips, crackers, fruit cups etc.
Most of these children are teens although there has been a toddler recently who stayed at one of the cps offices. Ages have ranged from 2yrs to 14 yrs of age. Some children have had a foster placement breakdown and some children have been dismissed from facilities and their parents refuse to take them back home.
Thanks for all your help! Current Mood: busy
